Question 1

How does magnetic charging work?

Accepted Answer

A ring of magnets aligns your phone with the charging coil, so the coils line up correctly every time and charging starts as soon as it snaps on.

Question 2

Which phones are compatible?

Accepted Answer

iPhone 12 and later (all sizes) attach directly via built-in MagSafe magnets. Other phones, including Android devices, need a magnetic case such as the MAGLINK MagCase.

Question 3

Do I need a magnetic case?

Accepted Answer

Only if your phone does not have built-in magnets. The MAGLINK MagCase adds a magnet ring to keep accessories attached securely.

Question 4

Does MAGLINK work with Android?

Accepted Answer

Android phones that support Qi wireless charging can charge on MAGLINK wireless pads. For magnetic attachment they need a magnetic case.

Question 5

Can I charge through a phone case?

Accepted Answer

Yes, through most thin cases. Very thick cases, metal plates or pop-sockets can weaken the magnetic hold and slow charging.
